My client are a cutting-edge, software company based in Farnborough, UK. As a Systems Engineer / QA engineer you will be part of a global software development team.

We are looking for world-class software experts who have substantial expertise in a wide range of technical areas.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Consult with product development to evaluate system interfaces, operational requirements, and performance requirements of the overall system
• Actively participate in planning, estimation, and prioritisation processes to ensure successful execution of QA activities

• Perform exploratory testing, develop and deploy automated testing for various projects

THE PERSON

• Knowledge of mainframe
• System programming
• Application programming using languages such as COBOL, PL/I, REXX, HLASM
• Online Transaction Processing
• Database technologies such as relational, hierarchical and network
• Experience in Linux
• System administration
• Scripting using languages such as shell scripting and Python
• Experience in developing test strategies
• Experience with continuous integration / continuous delivery (CI/CD)
• Experience in Agile methodologies and supporting tools such as Jira, Git and Jenkins/Cloudbees
• QATesting mindset (ISTQB standards / certifications) / Test Case writing
• Understanding of SwDLC (Systems (SW) Development LifeCycle) · Basic knowledge of Build and Release Management processes
