Salesforce Developer | London | 6-12 month contract

My client is the world’s leading Automotive Distributor and retailer. As part of our “Ignite” Strategy, we have embarked upon a digital transformation, ultimately to move to a true multichannel selling model, in line with other retail industries.

In order to support this new digital strategy, my client is investing heavily in technology to support this, building out a “Digital Platform” which can manage our customer experience from Lead through to Sale.

The platform consists of a number of components, including an E-commerce platform, which are underpinned by Salesforce as the core CRM, and Salesforce Marketing cloud to manage digital communications. These latter elements have now been rolled out to our 16 major markets globally.

To deliver these capabilities, we have set up an agile product development team to build and release new functionality across the platform on a regular monthly basis and have put in place the product development processes and organisation to deliver this.

Due to a key team member moving on, we are now looking for a Salesforce Marketing Cloud specialist to join the product team.

Role:

We are looking for an experienced Marketing Cloud Specialist who has delivered the development of a Salesforce Marketing Cloud implementation within a major organisation, preferably on a global or regional basis.

This role will report into the Head of Engineering in London.

Key responsibilities:

1. Work with our market facing BA’s to define and clarify requirements from the markets and develop and agree solutions that can scale globally.

2. Act as the subject matter expert on Salesforce Marketing Cloud for the global team, able to exploit the product through knowledge of platforms capabilities.

Key experience:

a) Salesforce development 3 years min to include: HTML, CSS, SSJS, AMPScript and SQL, SFMC performance turning

b) Salesforce Community Cloud, DMP, Journey Builder, and Email Studio

c) Developing, coding and launching complex email campaigns and associated landing pages, trigger emails, automations, Journey Builder, API calls, MC connector with Sales Cloud, Mobile

d) Trigger emails and API calls

e) Rolling out Marketing cloud Implementation to multiple global markets/brands f) Setting up sender profile

g) Sender Authentication Package setups

h) SSL certification set up

i) SSO (Single sign-on) set up

j) Setting up Journey using Emails and SMS channel

k) Configuring mobile Connect and mobile Push

l) Coding SQL scripts for complex segmentation

m) Developing REST & SOAP scripts for SFMC API to automate manual tasks

The candidate must quickly establish themselves as a Salesforce Marketing Cloud expert and be seen as the go-to person.

Significant experience of agile tools and approaches (Kanban, Jira, Confluence etc.) is strongly desirable, as well as working in a product team with multiple products and co-ordinated releases.

Education & Qualifications

1. Degree educated

2. Qualifications: Salesforce Certified: Administrator, Marketing Cloud Consultant, Marketing Cloud Email Specialist, Marketing Cloud Social Specialist.

3. Overall 5+ years IT experience
