Salary – $6000 – $9000 a month

A dynamic and rapidly expanding technology platform operating within the local commerce sector seeks a seasoned Senior Architect to join their fully remote R&D team. This individual will play a pivotal role in shaping the architecture of a complex, high-transactional system, directly impacting the platform’s scalability, reliability, and performance.

Responsibilities:

• Architect system evolution for scalability & resilience.
• Enforce architectural standards across teams.
• Document & improve existing architecture.
• Evaluate new features for architectural alignment.
• Guide engineering teams on architectural decisions.
• Establish design reviews & governance.
• Lead technical knowledge sharing.
• Optimise system performance.
• Define & track architectural KPIs.
• Translate strategic vision into architecture.

Requirements:

• 10+ yrs dev, 3+ yrs architect.
• Expert in backend & distributed systems.
• Proven system re-architecture experience.
• Hands-on API, orchestration, & DDD.
• Deep cloud scalability & security knowledge.
• Strong analysis & documentation skills.
• Excellent communication & collaboration.
• CI/CD, containerisation & IaC experience.
• Online transactional systems experience.
• Backend monitoring experience.
