Linux Infrastructure Engineer

I am currently partnered with a Government Trading Fund Agency who are looking for a Linux Infrastructure Engineer to join their team on a initial 12-month contract.

The role is INSIDE IR35 & operating a hybrid working model with 1-2 days per week in their offices in Exeter, and rest WFH. Day rate on offer is up to £600 per day DOE.

The ideal candidate will also have active SC Clearance

The infrastructure engineer designs, builds, manages & supports the infrastructure services that underpin all internal user services & services to the public. As an Infrastructure Engineer working in the Linux team, you will utilise your knowledge and skills of Linux technologies to support and maintain the Linux estate at their office. This will also include keeping the estate secure & compliant.

Using the Service Management toolset, respond to incidents, manage changes & investigate problems to a satisfactory conclusion, minimising disruption to Linux services & ensuring service continuity of the Linux estate.

Work with team members, sharing your knowledge & supporting others, helping the team meet their goals. Engage with project & technology teams, ensuring that consideration is taken for the supportability of Linux services.

Look for opportunities to enhance the level of service delivered to users of the Linux services. Represent the Linux team within my client, communicating with users & ensuring an excellent level of service is always delivered.
