Are you ready to be part of an innovative and forward-thinking team that is at the forefront of the renewable energy revolution? My client is looking to hire a Test Automation Engineer for their cutting-edge solar project to help shape the future of sustainable energy!

As a Test Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and performance of a solar project. You will be responsible for developing and implementing automated testing solutions, optimizing testing processes, to deliver high-quality, reliable software for our solar energy platform.

Job Responsibilities:

· To assure the dependability, efficiency, and performance of our solar project, my client need to develop and execute automated testing solutions using the most cutting-edge techniques and technologies available in the industry.

· Develop exhaustive test plans and procedures, and put them into action, in order to locate bugs, performance bottlenecks, and other quality concerns in the software components, subsystems, and integrated systems that you are developing.

· In order to drive improvements in software quality and performance, it is important to analyse the results of the tests and offer the development team with specific feedback.

· Create and keep up to date with the necessary test documentation, which should include test cases, test data, and test reports, in order to guarantee complete test coverage and trace-ability.

· Ensure that testing procedures are carried out in an efficient and effective manner by optimising and maintaining the test scripts and test environments.

· Conduct a root cause analysis of the problems, and then put remedial actions into place to stop the problem from happening again.

· Work with the development team in order to determine and address any testing gaps, as well as providing technical experience in the process of diagnosing and resolving issues.

· Take part in code and design reviews, providing insightful technical feedback while also ensuring that coding standards and industry best practises are adhered to.

· Help with the deployment and configuration of testing environments, as well as contribute to the ongoing improvement of the software development and testing procedures for the solar project.

Job requirements:

· Bachelor’s Computer Science any technical education.

· Proven experience in developing and implementing automated testing solutions using industry-leading tools and technologies, such as Selenium, Appium, or similar.

· Strong proficiency in one or more scripting or programming languages, such as Python, Java, C#, or Ruby.

· Extensive knowledge of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices, including test planning, test design, test execution, and defect management.

· Demonstrated expertise in analysing test results, identifying patterns, and providing detailed feedback to drive software quality improvements.

· Solid understanding of solar energy concepts and familiarity with solar power systems.

· Experience in conducting root cause analysis of defects and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

· Proficient in creating and maintaining test documentation, including test cases, test data, and test reports, to ensure thorough test coverage and trace-ability.

· Strong analytic and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail and ability to identify complex issues in software systems.

· Knowledge of version control systems, defect tracking systems, and test management tools.

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and take ownership of tasks to drive results.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts and insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

· Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with the latest advancements in test automation techniques, tools, and technologies
