We are seeking a talented and experienced Azure Data Products Test Engineer to join our dynamic team.

As a specialist in data products testing on the Azure platform, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, accuracy, and reliability of our data-driven solutions.

Position Overview:

As an Azure Data Products Test Engineer , you will focus on testing and validating data-centric solutions built on the Azure platform.

You will work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and developers to design and execute test strategies for Azure-based data products, ensuring they meet high standards for performance, scalability, and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Planning and Strategy:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data product requirements and design comprehensive test plans.

Develop and implement test strategies specifically tailored for data products on the Azure platform.

Data Quality Testing:

Design and execute tests to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and quality of data in Azure-based data products.

Verify data transformations, aggregations, and calculations for correctness.

Azure Data Service Testing:

Perform testing on Azure data services such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Lake Storage.

Validate data storage, retrieval, and processing functionality.

ETL Pipeline Testing:

Validate the end-to-end functionality of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) pipelines within Azure Data Factory or similar tools.

Ensure data integrity and consistency through the entire data processing workflow.

Performance and Scalability Testing:

Design and execute tests to assess the performance and scalability of Azure-based data products.

Identify and address bottlenecks to ensure optimal performance.

Data Security and Compliance Testing:

Verify the implementation of data security measures in compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Perform security testing to identify vulnerabilities and ensure data protection.

Automation and Tooling:

Develop and maintain automated test scripts for repetitive and critical test scenarios.

Utilize testing tools and frameworks compatible with Azure data products.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with development and data engineering teams to report and track issues.

Communicate test results, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Test Engineer with a focus on testing data products in an Azure environment.
• Strong understanding of data testing methodologies, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
• Preferred Skills:
• Certification in Azure Data services or related testing certifications.
• Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages for test automation (e.g., Python).
• Experience with big data testing tools and technologies in Azure (e.g., Databricks, HDInsight).
• Knowledge of data privacy and compliance considerations in testing.
