Azure Migration Expert

Our client in Abu Dhabi are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Azure Migration Expert to join them for a 12-month contract in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in optimizing their Azure infrastructure, managing relationships with their Azure infrastructure partner, and driving the migration to the Azure Cloud. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and Optimize Azure Infrastructure:

• Assess the current Azure infrastructure, including landing zones, and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency, scalability, and security.

Azure Landing Zones:

• Evaluate and improve Azure Landing Zones to align with best practices and business needs.

Azure Cloud Migration:

• Lead the migration of on-premises infrastructure and applications to Azure Cloud, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.

Stakeholder Management:

• Act as the primary liaison between the organization and Azure infrastructure partners, ensuring seamless communication and alignment of goals.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Proactive Monitoring and Improvement:

• Continuously monitor Azure infrastructure performance and proactively suggest improvements to meet evolving business needs.

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:

• Create and maintain detailed documentation of the Azure architecture, migration plans, and improvements.
• Share knowledge and mentor team members to build in-house expertise.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Azure Migration Expert or Azure Migration Architect
• Extensive experience in Azure architecture, Azure Landing Zones, and cloud infrastructure optimization.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud migrations for large-scale organizations.
• Strong understanding of Azure infrastructure best practices, including scalability, security, and cost optimization.
• Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with Azure infrastructure partners and internal stakeholders.
• Proactive problem-solver with a track record of identifying and resolving issues before they arise.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert are highly desirable.
• Previous experience working in the UAE region is a big plus.
