Enterprise Risk Management Consultant

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Specialist to lead and support our efforts in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across various operations and strategic domains. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in risk assessment frameworks, particularly ISO 31000, and possess a strong background in governance, operational, and strategic risk assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

Enterprise Risk Assessment:

• Conduct comprehensive enterprise-wide risk assessments in line with ISO 31000 standards.
• Identify and evaluate risks that could impact the achievement of organizational objectives.

Governance, Policies, and Procedures:

• Develop, implement, and refine governance frameworks, risk policies, and procedures to align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
• Provide oversight and ensure compliance with risk management best practices.

Operational Risk Management:

• Perform in-depth operational risk assessments, identifying vulnerabilities in processes, systems, and workflows.
• Recommend and implement mitigation strategies to address identified operational risks.

Strategic Risk Assessment:

• Assess strategic risks related to the organization’s long-term objectives, market position, and competitive landscape.
• Collaborate with leadership to integrate risk considerations into strategic planning and decision-making.

Risk Mitigation and Reporting:

• Develop actionable risk mitigation plans and monitor their effectiveness.
• Prepare detailed risk reports for senior management and stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work across both operational and strategic streams, ensuring a cohesive and integrated approach to risk management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of risk awareness.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in enterprise risk management.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 31000 risk management standards.
• Proven experience in governance, operational risk, and strategic risk assessments.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures effectively.
• Proficiency in risk assessment tools and software is a plus.
