Job Responsibilities:
As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to customers. This includes resolving system-related issues, both through voice calls and in-person interactions.
- Following established procedures to receive and handle service requests.
- Efficiently allocating calls to appropriate personnel.
- Maintaining accurate incident and service request logs, classifying and cataloging them for future reference.
- Interpreting user problems, identifying solutions, and assessing potential side effects.
- Escalating complex or unresolved incidents as necessary.
- Recording and tracking issues from start to finish.
- Maintaining records and keeping users informed about the process while communicating actions taken to relevant parties.
Skills & Requirements:
- Ideally you will have 6 months – 1 years experience working in an IT environment, preferably in IT helpdesk or service desk roles.
- University degree.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
