This year, Salt, an award-winning digital recruitment agency is celebrating International Women’s Day in all of our offices around the world. We are proud to be hosting a series of events for all women at Salt with inspirational speakers who are talking about their challenges and achievements. We will also be hosting workshops with our teams to work out how we can promote and improve gender equality in the workplace.
Here are some snapshots from around the world so far this week:
Salt has been an advocate for diversity and gender equality for years and it is part of our recruitment ethos. As recruiters, we see the need to foster conversations on diversity and inclusion, advise clients on how to build diverse teams and promote our own diversity agenda in the market to set a positive example. As a result of our hiring and talent development strategy, we are proud to say that 47% of our employees are women and our offices have diverse and engaged teams. The next goal is to get to 50% and achieve a better gender balance across all teams.
As part of our journey, we are committed to continual learning and development for our teams, so we have the capability to support and guide our clients. Our proactive approach includes providing unconscious bias training, hosting and sponsoring events and developing content to keep diversity and inclusion top of mind.
Salt’s achievements to date
We play an active role in promoting diversity and inclusion in the workforce and as a result partner and collaborate with a range of organisations globally and locally.
For the past 2 years, Salt has been running a role model campaign, publishing monthly interviews with inspiring “women in tech” from all around the world who talk about their challenges and share their experience and career advice with our broad audience.
On a quarterly basis, Salt hosts a global event series #SaltSessions where we talk about diversity in the digital industry with thought leaders from around the world. Salt also dedicates a section of our company blog to women in tech and diversity where consultants frequently write about their experiences and insights and use our social media platform to give a voice to diversity topics.
A fantastic acknowledgment was winning the 2018 Employer Award by Women in Tech, making us Recruitment Agency of the Year 2018.
