Salt would like to alert you to impersonation scams involving individuals pretending to be Salt or Salt employees in emails, socials and online messenger services. These messages offer jobs, courses, and more to get your personal info.
Fraudsters and scammers will claim to be a recruitment agency, hiring you for a job that does not exist or to offer you a service relating to recruitment. On social media, they make fake profiles and pages to lure you into bogus recruitment offers with training promises
Unfortunately, these job scams and phishing security tactics are increasing in the recruitment sector. Salt is aware that scammers are unlawfully using our name and logo in an attempt to obtain people’s data.
These scams evolve and change in sophistication regularly. The best way to help prevent yourself from becoming a victim of a job scam is to educate yourself on things to look out for during your job search.
To safeguard yourself please be extra careful when you receive an unsolicited message or all other forms of communication asking you to provide confidential or personal information. Under no circumstances should you give personal information including full name to third parties SMS, WhatsApp, Facebook or any other communication platforms unless you have verified the authenticity of such requests. Should you find the contact to be suspicious, please delete and block the caller.
Our team won’t ask for your personal info or payment details on social media or WhatsApp. And we’ll never ask for fees or money transfers.
