Manager Capital Markets and Wholesale Banking

Our client is a global leader in consulting services focusing on financial services sector. They are currently looking for a Manager to join their expanding financial services transformation team to assist their clients, mainly investment banks, with designing new business operating models, transforming business processes, implementing controls and regulatory change. As a specialist in Capital Markets and Wholesale Banking, the Manager will lead engagement teams, provide valuable insight and advice to clients and contribute to the continued success of the practice.

Main responsibilities:

• Delivering large-scale and complex projects by managing the project team, assessing risks, and reviewing the output produced by the team.
• Creating solutions that are aligned with the approach agreed with the client to meet key project goals.
• Managing all financial and contractual aspects of client engagements, including scoping and estimating effort, managing margins, and statements of work.
• Leading business development activities, identifying opportunities, coordinating the delivery of high-quality proposals and bids.
• Contributing to the development of the team’s technical skills by establishing a high-performance culture.

Required skills and experience:

• Management Consulting experience combined with a transformation role in Financial Services industry, with a proven track record of driving value in Capital Markets and Wholesale Banking with a focus on Operations transformation, Post-trade operations, Process re-engineering, Digitisation, Client lifecycle management, Controls optimisation.
• Deep understanding of current market trends and challenges in Capital Markets sector, as well as the relevant digital technologies and solutions.
• Experience in delivering regulatory change programmes, in particular Front office controls, Regulatory change (MIFID, IBOR, RAF, CSDR).
• Expertise in estimating, scoping and delivering large scale projects, setting up project governance and managing daily routines including reporting, risk and stakeholder management.
• Good knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices.
• Commercial acumen, with excellent written and numerical skills and experience in writing project related documentation including Statements of Work, project proposals and reporting.
• Perfect communication skills around senior stakeholders, internally and externally including presenting, leading meeting and workshops.
