- Replacement position
- Open environment and a small and well-knit team.
- Playing a big part in their Platform Integration projects
- Contract role ; 6months to 12months extension
- Flexible & hybrid (2 mandatory anchor days as discussed with manager)
- Auckland CBD based (3days per week in office)
- Immediate joining preferred
- Payrate: $100 to $120 per hour (approx., negotiable based on experience & domain match)
- 37.5hours per week for work life balance
The role:
- Reporting directly to the Head of Platform, part of the squad that has just worked on a global integration project with one of their largest brokers and now planning to repeat the same again with another large broker.
- Will be working alongside Broker tech teams and Solution Architects. Will be coordination and meeting broker teams as well.
- Big piece of work, hence a longer duration to start with.
- Develop applications in coordination with stakeholders and subject matter experts.
- Follow Software Development LIfecycle (SDLC) processes and support continuous
- improvement culture.
- Ensure solutions meet customer needs within scope, schedule, and budget.
- Maintain accuracy and timeliness of output.
- Mentor junior engineers and transfer knowledge effectively.
- Identify and assess risks within your subject matter area, lead risk-related dialogue as the SME for that domain, and support stakeholders in making informed, risk-based decisions.
- Mitigate risks in delivery while keeping to agreed plan and timeframes.
- Looking for an senior/Lead level contract developer who would be working as a part of the team.
The ideal candidate:
- Experience (minimum 12 to 15yrs+) as a Senior / Tech Lead in commercial development as a backend/fullstack developer using C# . NET , Azure, Azure DevOps. Strong experience with Microsoft stack. (non negotiable)
- Blazor (FE) , Sonarqube , Terraform (good to have).
- Financial / Insurance industry preferred but not important.
- Seasoned contractors preferred. Anyone looking to venture into the contracting space with strong Microsoft stack experience is also welcome.
- Should be based in Auckland or be able to relocate to Auckland (3days from office – 2 anchor days).
- To be able to adapt, team fit in terms of being approachable, be a part of team activities and add value to discussions over technical issues as well as mentoring junior permanent developers.
