Salary: £65k – £75k plus bonus

Location: SW London / Hybrid

Join this ecommerce platform as their first official Analytics Manger, with a chance to continue growing the data foundations they’ve recently built, and elevate the way data is used within the business further.

This role requires someone who can wear many hats, take pro-active approach to identifying analytical needs across the business, a commercial approach in thinking, as well as the ability to always put the ‘customer first’. You have the chance to move from a ‘worker’ role into a ‘leader’ role!

You will shape and define the organisations data foundations, ensuring regular reporting and insights are delivered via beautiful and engaging dashboards, as well as conducting ad hoc deep dive analytical projects around the product and customer.

You will face directly into the CTO, CEO and CPO, reporting directly to the COO, so you have huge exposure and influence through c-suite and across all relevant business units; marketing, sales, finance etc.

So we do need someone with a blended and hybrid background in analytics, who can apply a range of techniques and methodologies for a wide range of stakeholders. Naturally, you will need exceptional organisation and prioritisation skills in order to navigate multiple projects as well as manage expectations around delivery.

Technically you can employ any tools and technologies which you deem fit for purpose, but strong skills in SQL is essential to begin with, and you may be able to employ more advanced techniques using tools such as R or Python as you go. And, given they are at the beginning of their data journey, some of the consumer data will require some cleansing and some work, so you’ll need to be able to assess the data sets, prioritise analytical projects and build a data roadmap for the business.

You will need to be comfortable and skilled in navigating multiple stakeholders, all of which will be going on different journeys, and will have varying levels of needs and wants. And for the right person the opportunity for growth and ownership in this role is HUGE. There are plans to scale this team, with this person being the lead on that – if they so wish!

Experience required:

  • Educated to degree level in a numerate subject; Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry, Machine Learning, Computer Science etc.
  • Skilled in leveraging range of analytical tools such as SQL, R, Python plus experience in using data visualisation tools such as PowerBI, Tableau or Looker needed to bring data to life for the business
  • A strong background in digital and customer analytics would be ideal, measuring digital product performance and as well as leveraging statistical analytical techniques to interrogate customer data, deriving actionable insights and results for your stakeholders
  • Solutions focused approach, with an intellectual curious mindset and ambition to add value through your analytical work
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to explain analytic results and models to a non-technical audience
  • Comfortable working in a high growth environment, fast paced activity, ability to prioritise and juggle multiple tasks at any one time
  • Resilient mindset, courage, confidence and ambitious nature required!
