You will be joining a team of Product Managers at this established gift retailer, where you will provide product analysis and optimization in order to drive improved customer experience across the user journey.
You will support product road mapping, development, and prioritization through rigorous A/B testing and optimization, identifying customer pain points, detailing user stories, tracking customer journeys, and conducting data analysis using multiple data sources to solve business and customer problems.
Tech wise they use Adobe Analytics, VWO for A/B testing, and Content Square, so it’s key you have experience in the former and ideally the latter two, but training can be provided. The pace is fast – as it is with any seasonal retailer, and their busiest time of year is coming up in October – January! So be prepared to hit the ground running and get right into the thick of it from day one.
In terms of career development, there is of course the chance to grow with this role, potentially bringing in more junior support in the future – or you could even into a Product Manager or Owner role in the future, given how closely you will work with your peers in this space.
The CEO and founder has developed a family-like culture of support, collaboration, and social and corporate responsibility. They do lots of charity events, offer free breakfast and cakes, and do as much as possible to give back to the local community. The company’s core purpose is to delight customers through happiness and this bleeds into their employee culture too; which is reflected in their impressive Sunday Times Top 100 Companies to Work For 2 star accreditation, made possible only through an ‘outstanding’ commitment to workplace engagement.
The offices reflect the products they offer as a company, which are modern and fun. You are expected to work 2 days in the office, which the Head of Product feels is important, especially having hired a lot of her team in lockdown, she’s keen to get everyone back to doing face-to-face meetings and work together as often as possible. She herself is a great reason to join the team, with a very credible background in product management from a variety of retailers and an energetic character who has built the entire team from scratch in under 2 years. She’s clearly very passionate about nurturing talent and the team being a vital support for the company’s ambitious growth plans.
