Salt is working with an organisation that specialises in developing cultural relations and educational opportunities by helping to create knowledge and understanding between the UK and more than 100 countries across the globe.

Working within the Research & Insights function, this position focuses on analysing and understanding how the organisation’s work across various sectors impacts the UK’s influence in priority countries.

You will:

• Undertake and commission research, manage projects, draft high-quality reports, and prepare policy briefs on soft power and cultural relations
• Aid in developing and delivering global programs related to cultural engagement, offering evidence and policy insights to enhance the organisations impact
• Undertake specific projects for the head of R&I, and support new research initiatives and partnerships
• Communicate research insights internally and externally, and collaborate with various teams to ensure the research has maximum impact

You will need:

• Strong understanding of international relations and soft power, with knowledge of UK policy making procedures, particularly around foreign policy
• Experience writing policy briefs to translate research findings into compelling communications
• Strong understanding of research processes and methodologies, with the ability to provide advice to foster a research-driven culture within the organisation
• Experience developing and delivering global programs related to cultural engagement
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate and influence a range of internal and external stakeholders
