Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Azure Data Engineer to join our talented team. This role offers the flexibility of hybrid working, with only two days a week required in our London office. As an Azure Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our data infrastructure on the Azure platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable data architectures on Azure.
• Develop, construct, test, and maintain data pipelines.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to improve data systems and processes.
• Optimize and tune data storage and retrieval performance.
• Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards.
• Troubleshoot data-related issues and support ongoing development efforts.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with a strong focus on Azure.
• Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure SQL Database.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Experience with big data technologies and tools such as Spark, Hadoop, and Hive.
• Strong SQL and Python programming skills.
• Knowledge of data modeling, data governance, and data quality principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft Azure certifications.
• Experience with machine learning and AI integration.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
