Big Data Engineer

We are partnered with an exciting data and technology start up, leveraging AI technologies and techniques to support their clients. They are currently going through a large transformation at the moment and starting to scale out their Engineering teams.

As part of this they are looking for a Senior Big Data Engineer to work closely with the Data Scientist’s & fellow Developers in an agile environment to help develop and build their data pipelines. They use cutting edge technology and process very large data sets.

Responsibilities:

• Develop the data infrastructure, working with structured and unstructured data
• Deliver data solutions with big data sets
• End to end design and development as well as some maintenance
• ETL processes
• Contribute to technology & data improvement within the team
• Working using Scrum methodology to deliver backlog commitments

Ideally to deliver this role you will need experience of:

• 5 years + in Engineering with Data experience
• Python / SQL
• Spark, Hadoop
• AWS
• Familiar with NoSQL databases
