Director of Data Engineering

Salt are patterned with a leading Tech Investment business in West Yorkshire who are looking to hire a Director of Data Engineering for their Global Investment arm of the company.

The brand are a world leader in the £billion industry, providing cutting edge infrastructure and systems for their partners worldwide, empowering over 85 million customers with their technology.

Although the company are well-established and vested, they are looking for a Director of Data Engineering to join with a ‘start-up’ mindset in order to work with the team to really understand processes in order to communicate back to the stakeholders on areas of value, innovation and advising on both the direction and investment.

The company are looking for a Director of Data Engineering with a true entrepreneurial ethos and thrives with innovation, creativity and pushing boundaries which is backed by the Senior Leaders within the business.

The Director of Data Engineering will be a strong influence for both the technical employees and stakeholders, so great communication and leadership skills are a must whilst driving the vision forward, working with the team to understand solutions and advise on best practices.

It’s very important that the Director of Engineering has experience in architectural design/decisions, designing platforms and understands the fundamentals of DevOps and Cloud (GCP ideal) with CI/CD pipelines.

This role is a hybrid model with circa 2 days on site per week.
