Fullstack Engineer

Salt is currently hiring a skilled Fullstack Engineer for a client of ours in Amsterdam.

The role is a 3 month contract paying 100 euros an hour for a freelancer with KVK/ZZP.

Required Skills

• Backend: Java (Spring, Spring Boot)
• Frontend: TypeScript, React
• Perl is a plus

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable full-stack applications.
• Build high-quality, reusable, and maintainable code following engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain automated tests to ensure application reliability and quality.
• Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and support production systems.
• Participate in code reviews, system design discussions, and architectural decisions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and standards.
• Analyze and resolve production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including operational and deployment procedures.
• Support deployment, release management, and ongoing system operations.
• Participate in an on-call rotation when required.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with TypeScript and React.
• Understanding of software design principles, testing, and modern development practices.
• Experience working with distributed systems, APIs, and cloud-based applications is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an agile environment.
