HR / Payroll Consultant (Implementation & Advisory)
Role Overview
A leading HR and payroll solutions provider is looking for an experienced HR / Payroll Consultant to join its professional services team. This role involves working directly with clients across various industries to deliver system implementations, configurations, training, and advisory support.
The position plays a key role in ensuring accurate payroll execution, regulatory compliance, and effective adoption of HR and payroll systems, while continuously improving client processes and system performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and configure HR and payroll systems based on client requirements
- Engage with clients to gather requirements and translate them into system solutions
- Facilitate training sessions and provide user support and knowledge transfer
- Manage end-to-end payroll processes, including statutory submissions and compliance
- Ensure adherence to HR and payroll legislation (PAYE, IRP5, IFRS, GAAP, GRAP, etc.)
- Support system testing, issue resolution, audits, and process improvements
- Assist with solution scoping, proposals, and client presentations
- Develop user guides, documentation, and training materials
- Participate in product demonstrations and client engagements
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in HR, Payroll, IT, or related field
- 3+ years’ experience in HR and/or payroll systems
- Strong understanding of payroll processes and legislative compliance
- Experience with ERP or HR systems (ITS Integrator or similar advantageous)
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills
- Experience in client training or system support
