We are partnering with a Tier 1 global rail organisation to appoint an experienced CCS Interface Engineer for a major Sydney rail project. Reporting to the Interface Package Lead CCS/COM, you will lead CCS design and delivery activities, ensuring system integration, compliance with standards, and operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement CCS system coordination and interface processes across design, procurement, and construction
· Review and approve design deliverables, including modifications and cost inputs
· Manage CCS interface issues, risks, and changes via project management tools
· Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated CCS solutions
· Ensure CCS designs meet system architecture and comply with relevant standards (EN 50126/8/9, IEC 62443, ITU/IEEE)
· Provide expert support across system lifecycle phases including testing, safety assessments, and operational readiness
· Support defect management, asset handover documentation, and readiness approvals
· Coordinate CCS input for construction phasing, access, and cutover strategies in a live rail environment
Selection Criteria :
· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, Systems Engineering or related field
· Minimum 3 years’ experience in rail CCS system integration and interface management, including 2-3 years on Australian projects
· Strong knowledge of communications architectures, including QoS, redundancy, and system monitoring
· Ability to interpret complex contracts, standards, and operational requirements into engineering solutions
· Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools
· Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment
· Adaptable and keen to learn new skills in a dynamic environment
