The Marketing Manager – Exhibitions is responsible for planning, developing, and executing integrated marketing strategies to drive attendance, exhibitor acquisition, and brand visibility for exhibitions and trade shows. The role requires a strong understanding of B2B event marketing, audience segmentation, digital campaigns, and stakeholder management to deliver measurable results and maximize event revenue.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Marketing

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans aligned with event objectives.
  • Define target audiences including visitors, exhibitors, and partners.
  • Position the exhibition effectively within the market to achieve attendance and revenue targets.
  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and audience insights to refine strategies.

Campaign Management

  • Plan and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns (digital, email, social media, PR, content marketing, and paid advertising).
  • Oversee campaign timelines, budgets, and performance tracking.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to support exhibitor acquisition campaigns.

Digital Marketing

  • Manage website content, SEO, and landing pages to optimize lead generation.
  • Oversee CRM/email marketing campaigns and automation workflows.
  • Work with paid media agencies to run PPC, social ads, and retargeting campaigns.
  • Monitor analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to track performance and optimize ROI.

Content & Creative

  • Develop compelling marketing content including brochures, emails, social posts, press releases, and promotional materials.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all communication channels.
  • Coordinate with designers, copywriters, and agencies for campaign assets.

Partnerships & PR

  • Build relationships with media partners, associations, and industry stakeholders.
  • Manage PR campaigns, press releases, and media outreach to increase visibility.
  • Secure promotional partnerships and cross-marketing opportunities.

Event Promotion

  • Drive visitor registration and exhibitor participation through targeted campaigns.
  • Manage promotional calendars and campaign rollouts pre-, during, and post-event.
  • Support on-site marketing activities and event execution when required.

Budget & Reporting

  • Manage marketing budgets efficiently and ensure cost-effective campaign execution.
  • Track KPIs such as registrations, leads, conversion rates, and ROI.
  • Provide regular reports and insights to senior management.

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, preferably within exhibitions, events, or B2B industries.
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing channels and tools (SEO, PPC, email marketing, social media, CRM systems).
  • Proven experience in campaign management and lead generation.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and optimize campaigns.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
