Global Head of Corporate Communications

Salt’s client, a Globally Renowned Luxury Beauty Giant is on the hunt for an experienced and motivated Corporate Communications Leader to oversee their corporate communications team. Running for a minimum of 5 months in length, during this contract you will be responsible for devising and executing the corporate and internal communications strategies, managing relevant internal and corporate communications for the Executive Team, Board, and investors, as well as leading on key strategic partnerships in the purpose and technology space.

This role will support in the profile build and reputation with key stakeholders incl. business press and wider business comms. The Global Head of Corporate Communications will be responsible for helping to create a clear and consistent narrative about what the brand is and how the brand will develop and grow over the coming years.

This is a pivotal role within the business and will also be responsible for building a comprehensive and compelling internal communications function, including assessing and onboarding new communications tools as the team continues to expand into new geographic markets.

Key Role Responsibilities:

• Develop strategies and exceptional corporate and internal plans that create a strong corporate profile for the brand within the beauty industry and beyond
• Deliver the brands core messages via long term strategic communications plan that effectively articulates company’s purpose, growth, and results
• Protect the reputation of the brand by building key industry contacts and overseeing the issues management communications process globally – both proactive and reactively.
• Consistently assess, manage, and mitigate reputational risk to the brand around the world
• Develop and activate the internal comms function, building the team, vision, and the plan
• Oversee Board and Investor communications
• Deliver elevated media relations – ideally possess a ‘black book’ of media contacts globally from editor level across finance, business, tech, and retail markets
• Collaborate with global communication leads and agencies to bring country/market specific corporate and internal comms to life
• Managing key strategic purpose and corporate partnerships

Requirements/ Qualifications:

• Strong leadership and management skills with the proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships, including the respect and trust of senior colleagues and stakeholders)
• Be a highly connected, influential leader – with world class media relations and a proven network of media contacts
• Be an established communications leader with strong corporate and issues management experience and experience managing global media relations teams and agencies
• A strategic, creative thinker, with the ability to deliver standout communications moments, based on the business objectives
• Strong digital skills and can communicate across the various types of digital channels
• Be an energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive team leader who can positively and productively impact both strategic and tactical finance and administrative initiatives
• Excellent critical thinking skills, holding the ability to exercise good judgement and solve problems quickly and effectively
• An understanding of the commercial environment
• Thrive on working within a fast-paced environment, with the ability to respond quickly and effectively to changing agendas.
