Mid-Level Microsoft SQL Server DBA

My client is looking for a Mid-Level Microsoft SQL Server DBA with 4-6 years of production experience to manage performance, availability, security, and reliability of database systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure SQL Server (Standalone, Failover Cluster, Availability Groups)
  • Apply upgrades, patches, and manage version control
  • Monitor and optimize database performance and capacity
  • Perform backups, restores, and recovery testing
  • Troubleshoot issues and support incident resolution
  • Collaborate with developers on stored procedures, triggers, and standards
  • Manage releases across dev, test, and production environments
  • Automate routine tasks and maintain documentation
  • Provide support to application teams and participate in on-call rotation

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of SQL Server DBA experience (production support)
  • Experience with SSRS and SSIS
  • Knowledge of SQL Server 2019/2022 and virtualization
  • Strong understanding of High Availability and performance tuning
  • Familiarity with Excel, SSRS, or Power BI
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
