My client is a well known national business with operations across the country. They have a large loyal customer base that values the services they provide. They operate in a friendly professional manner that brings out the best in their close knit team.
We’re seeking an experienced Planning & Reporting leader to join a high-performing finance team on a fixed-term basis, covering maternity leave. This is a key role ensuring continuity across financial reporting, planning, and commercial insight during a critical period.
Starting ideally in mid-July, you’ll benefit from a structured handover before taking ownership of core finance processes.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead month-end and financial reporting processes
- Deliver budgeting, forecasting, and planning activities
- Provide clear commercial insights to support decision-making
- Partner with branch teams and stakeholders to translate financial performance into actionable insights
- Work closely with the CFO and wider finance team on day-to-day operations
- Managing a small finance team
About You
You are a confident and commercially minded finance professional who can step in and make an immediate impact.
You’ll bring:
- CA qualification (or equivalent)
- Strong experience across financial accounting and management reporting
- Proven track record in budgeting and forecasting
- Commercial acumen with the ability to understand and influence business performance
- Strong communication skills, able to engage non-finance stakeholders
- A proactive, self-sufficient approach with the ability to hit the ground running
NZ experience is essential, and exposure to complex or operationally driven environments will be highly valued.
