Role Overview
A dynamic retail-focused organisation is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented In-House Account Specialist to manage key retail accounts and support national sales operations. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, a hands-on approach, and a passion for driving performance across merchandising, replenishment, and store execution.
You will serve as the central link between stores, field merchandisers, and sales management-ensuring optimal product performance, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management & Analysis
Monitor store performance through photographs, sales reports, and stock data.
Issue replenishment purchase orders based on sales trends and stock levels.
Address merchandising gaps and stock inconsistencies with field teams and sales managers.
Operational Support
Maintain import tracking sheets and monitor delivery timelines.
Ensure timely and complete stock receipt across assigned accounts.
Follow up on merchandising calls to uphold store standards.
Reporting & Communication
Compile daily and weekly reports on sales, replenishment, and store execution.
Present insights and recommendations to management.
Escalate supply chain or compliance issues as needed.
Store Engagement
Conduct store visits to audit merchandising execution and build retailer relationships.
Provide feedback and guidance to store staff and field merchandisers.
Experience
Postgraduate degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or related field; or
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales or account management.
Prior experience in retail or FMCG is advantageous.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, reporting) and data tracking tools.
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple accounts.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently and within a team.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for store visits.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
