Overview
As an International Account Executive, you will be responsible for driving the acquisition, growth, and development of large international accounts across various verticals, with a focus on the UK and Ireland. This role involves establishing strategic partnerships with multinational organizations, expanding market presence, and delivering high-value solutions to meet complex customer needs. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and international teams to ensure consistent delivery of customer-centric solutions while aligning with the company’s global sales strategy.
Key Responsibilities
1. International Account Acquisition
- Identify and target new large international accounts with significant growth potential.
- Develop and execute targeted strategies to acquire international clients across multiple regions.
- Create and present tailored sales pitches that address client-specific challenges and business objectives.
2. Account Management & Growth
- Build and nurture long-term, trust-based relationships with key decision-makers at senior levels within client organizations.
- Develop detailed account plans, including sales forecasting, opportunity identification, and solution development.
- Drive the development and growth of existing international accounts, maximizing opportunities for cross-selling, upselling, and renewals.
- Collaborate with technical, solution, and support teams to ensure seamless delivery of services and products.
- Partner with local sales teams to share insights, best practices, and resources for driving success in international markets.
3. Customer Success & Satisfaction
- Ensure client satisfaction and long-term loyalty by effectively managing expectations and delivering value-driven solutions.
- Act as the primary point of contact for international customers, addressing any issues or concerns with a high level of professionalism and urgency.
4. Sales Forecasting & Reporting
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs in international markets.
- Provide regular reports to management on sales progress, pipeline health, market dynamics, and key opportunities.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets as set by sales leadership.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5-7 years of experience in a sales role, preferably in B2B or IT solutions sales, with a focus on large international accounts.
- Proven track record of successfully acquiring and managing large enterprise or multinational clients.
- Strong understanding of the technology solutions market, particularly in IT infrastructure, cloud services, and digital transformation.
- Expertise in managing complex, high-value deals with multiple stakeholders and long sales cycles.
- Ability to develop tailored sales strategies that align with clients’ business goals.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills, with a focus on delivering win-win solutions.
- Experience in managing international sales, with the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and cultural differences.
- Fluency in English; additional European languages (such as German, French, or Spanish) are highly advantageous.
- Deep understanding of the IT industry and trends, with the ability to identify market opportunities and position the company as a trusted partner.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to assess customer needs, design appropriate solutions, and overcome objections.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, collaborating with technical, service, and support teams to deliver comprehensive solutions.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with both clients and internal stakeholders at all levels.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel internationally, as required, to meet with clients, attend meetings, and participate in events.
