Head of Solution Engineering – eCommerce/Retail Consultancy – London

The Role

As the Head of Solution Engineering you will be responsible for leading the team of 6 highly ambitious Solutions Engineers in the UK. This team owns the overall design and technical implementation of the solution, across all key digital platforms.

As a member of the Technology team, you will be focused on driving customer engagements online, becoming an evangelist and technology advocate through the management of digital solutions.

• Creating and owning the end to end solution for the project.
• Ensuring all technical requirements are being met and appropriately prioritised by the solution engineering team.
• Running discovery workshops with enterprise clients to understand their digital landscape.
• Participate in Agile sprints and help developers understand the solution, in order to provide technical expertise when needed.
• Develop clients’ strategic roadmaps to identify opportunities for improved business performance.
• Strong presales focus, working closely with new business executives to prepare RFP response, conduct demos and workshops with prospective clients.

The Candidate

The successful Head of Solution Engineering will possess the following skills and experience:

• Minimum of 10 years Solution/Technology implementation/Delivery experience specifically within the digital/eCommerce space (Consultancy/Systems Integrator/Full Service Digital Agency)
• Experience developing, training and driving high performing teams.
• Experience in Adobe Experience Management, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce CloudCraze or Sitecore.
• Technical background: Java, PHP, HTML, MS SQL, Angular, React, .NET.
• An interest in understanding and adopting new technology trends in digital.
• Experience in working in a number of autonomous, fast-moving environments such as Agile or RUP.
• Strong knowledge of eCommerce/multi-channel/omni-channel retailing.
