Senior Business Analyst – SASE / Cybersecurity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst (Cybersecurity / SASE) to support the delivery of a Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) initiative within a leading education organisation. This role will play a critical part in translating business and security requirements into clear, actionable outcomes as part of a major cybersecurity uplift program, aligned to NIST frameworks and enterprise security objectives.
WHAT’S ON OFFER
- $900.00 a Day Inclusive of super.
- Initial 6-Month engagement, with possibility of extension.
- Melbourne CBD.
- Hybrid working model, 2 days in office.
- Exposure to working alongside a well-established Australian Uni.
THE ROLE:
- Work closely with cybersecurity, network, and architecture teams to support delivery of the SASE program
* Elicit, analyse, and document business, functional, non-functional, and security requirements
* Translate complex cyber and technical concepts into clear business requirements and process impacts
* Conduct current-state and future-state business process mapping across impacted user groups
* Develop artefacts including BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, and traceability matrices
* Support solution design by validating requirements against SASE capabilities and cyber controls
* Facilitate workshops with IT, security, vendors, and business stakeholders
* Support risk, dependency, and impact analysis related to cybersecurity change
* Assist with user acceptance criteria, testing support, and readiness for implementation
* Contribute to change management and user adoption activities to ensure successful rollout
* Ensure alignment to cyber risk reduction objectives and NIST maturity uplift

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst on cybersecurity programs
* Hands-on experience with SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) implementations
* Strong understanding of cybersecurity controls, identity, network security, and access models
* Demonstrated experience mapping and improving enterprise business processes
* Experience working in large, complex, or regulated environments (education, government, enterprise)
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills across technical and non-technical audiences
* Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
* Experience working with vendors and supporting cyber solution delivery
* Relevant certifications such as CBAP, Agile BA, SAFe, or ITIL highly regarded
