Senior Cloud Developer (Senior Manager)

We’re partnering with a leading financial services organisation undergoing a large-scale cloud transformation, with a goal of reaching 90-95% cloud adoption across global business units.

They are hiring a Senior Cloud Developer (Senior Manager) to help drive the evolution of their enterprise cloud platform across Azure and GCP.

The Role

You’ll operate at the intersection of architecture, engineering, and stakeholder leadership, owning initiatives end-to-end while shaping how cloud platforms are built, scaled, and used across multiple regions.

A key part of the role is bringing an experimentation mindset, continuously exploring new ways to scale systems, introduce capabilities, and future-proof the platform, rather than just maintaining what already exists.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design and evolve cloud platforms, frameworks, and landing zones across a multi-cloud environment
• Own end-to-end delivery of cloud initiatives (from design to implementation)
• Work closely with business units to translate requirements into scalable solutions
• Drive platform improvements, new features, and system optimisations
• Evaluate new technologies and approaches to enhance scalability and sustainability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (security, network, engineering)
• Handle stakeholder discussions, pushbacks, and technical decision-making
• Contribute to capability building within the team

Tech Environment

• Cloud: Azure & GCP (multi-cloud)
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform
• Containers: Kubernetes, Docker (~400 clusters)
• CI/CD: GitHub
• Exposure to data, AI/ML, and modern cloud services

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience in cloud engineering / platform engineering at scale
• Proven track record supporting multiple teams or business units
• Experience delivering end-to-end cloud projects (design → deployment)
• Solid understanding of architecture, scalability, and system design
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, manage trade-offs, and solve complex problems
• Strong communication skills (able to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders)
• Experience mentoring, leading initiatives, or acting as a technical lead
