Overview:

A dynamic, multi-brand property development and hospitality group is looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to serve as the chief architect of its entire marketing ecosystem. Overseeing a premium portfolio that spans residential development and a boutique aparthotel brand , this is an opportunity to take absolute ownership of a diverse and growing brand architecture.

This role sits at the intersection of high-level business strategy, commercial asset management, and sophisticated brand positioning. You will possess the strategic weight to direct creative, performance, and channel work across multiple verticals , translating long-term business goals into a structured, high-performing marketing function.

The role is heavily strategy- and governance-focused, with an emphasis on annual marketing planning, multi-brand budget allocation, board-level reporting, and vendor management. Success depends on your ability to hold the commercial big picture, lead a specialized internal team, and orchestrate external partners to ensure a flawless narrative thread runs through every customer touchpoint.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive brand strategy and architecture across the master brand and all sub-brands.
  • Formulate annual marketing plans, vertical-level go-to-market strategies, and seasonal promotional mechanics.
  • Manage and allocate the annual marketing budget, overseeing monthly forecasting, channel distribution, and variance reporting.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage internal marketing specialists while scoping and performance-managing external agency and creative partners.
  • Establish robust analytics frameworks to deliver weekly, monthly, and board-level reporting on multi-touch attribution and ROI.
  • Oversee PR, media relationships, thought-leadership placement, and corporate reputation management across all verticals.
  • Direct the high-level event strategy for property launches, show-house openings, and exclusive VIP brand activations.
  • Own the group’s martech stack selection, web infrastructure governance, digital asset management libraries, and AI tool evaluation.
  • Ensure absolute compliance with regulatory frameworks including POPIA, the Consumer Protection Act, and advertising standards across all campaigns.
  • Collaborate with leadership to provide market and competitor intelligence that feeds into product specification, pricing benchmarks, and launch strategies.

Requirements:

  • 7 plus years’ experience in a senior marketing role, ideally with a mix of agency and client-side exposure.
  • Proven track record managing multi-brand or multi-vertical portfolios; property, hospitality, or lifestyle sector exposure is highly advantageous.
  • Deep experience in high-level brand architecture, annual marketing planning, and commercial budget management.
  • Experience designing internal team structures and managing external agencies, vendors, and creative partners.
  • Strong data literacy with experience building board-level marketing dashboards and working with multi-touch attribution models.
  • Solid understanding of digital ecosystems, MarTech stacks, web infrastructure governance, and compliance frameworks (POPIA/CPA).
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to confidently act as the primary marketing voice in leadership and board meetings.
  • Natural ability to manage complexity, set operational direction, and maintain a high standard of visual and narrative quality control.
