Senior Security Architect

A high-profile technology organisation is seeking a Senior Security Architect to help shape secure, resilient, cloud-native platforms in a fast-paced delivery environment.

This role is perfect for someone who combines strong security architecture capability with a pragmatic, business-focused mindset. You’ll work closely with engineering, product, architecture, and delivery teams to embed security into strategic initiatives without slowing innovation down.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Providing security architecture guidance across the SDLC
• Leading threat modelling, secure design reviews, and risk assessments
• Developing scalable security patterns and guardrails
• Supporting DevSecOps and CI/CD security initiatives
• Identifying broader technology and cyber risks across IAM, backups/recovery, change management, and compliance
• Collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders to uplift security maturity across the organisation

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in Security Architecture or Security Consulting
• Strong understanding of cloud-native environments and AWS security services
• Experience with DevSecOps, AppSec tooling, and vulnerability management
• Knowledge of frameworks such as OWASP, NIST, ISO27001, PCI-DSS, and SABSA
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Ability to provide practical, commercially sensible security advice

Desired Background

• 5+ years’ experience in security advisory, consulting, or architecture roles
• Experience working in modern engineering or product-led environments
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, SABSA, GIAC, CRISC, or AWS are highly regarded
