The Opportunity

As a Senior Unreal Developer, you’ll play a key role in designing and building large-scale immersive VR experiences with a strong focus on performance, scalability and player immersion.

Working within a highly collaborative engineering environment, you’ll contribute across gameplay systems, networking, rendering optimisation and immersive interaction technologies while helping shape technical direction and engineering standards.

This role would suit someone who enjoys pushing technology boundaries and thrives in highly technical, product-focused environments.

What You’ll Be Working On

  • Developing large-scale multiplayer VR experiences using Unreal Engine 5
  • Building high-performance gameplay systems for immersive real-world environments
  • Optimising rendering, networking and interaction systems for low-latency VR experiences
  • Developing scalable and maintainable gameplay architecture
  • Working closely with designers, gameplay engineers and technical artists
  • Integrating cutting-edge immersive hardware and proprietary systems
  • Improving player responsiveness, immersion and overall technical performance
  • Contributing to engineering standards, technical direction and best practices
  • Mentoring junior and mid-level developers across the team

About You

We’re looking for experienced Unreal developers who combine strong engineering fundamentals with curiosity, creativity and a passion for immersive technology.

You’ll likely bring:

  • 5+ years of commercial Unreal Engine development experience
  • Strong C++ programming expertise
  • Experience developing complex gameplay systems and/or real-time applications and simulations
  • Deep understanding of Unreal Engine performance optimisation
  • Experience with multiplayer and networked systems
  • Strong understanding of rendering pipelines, profiling and debugging tools
  • Experience contributing to shipped games, simulations or immersive products
  • Strong software architecture and scalable engineering capability
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
