EPR Programme Director – 2 Year Contract – Hybrid/Onsite Birmingham – £500 – £550/day – Outside IR35 SOW

I am currently supporting a key NHS client looking to hire an EPR Programme Director on a contract basis.

EPR Programme Director Role:

With a new electronic patient record (EPR) approved by the Board and a clear commitment to using technology to enhance and improve care for children, women, young people and their families, there has never been a more exciting time to join the Trust. The organisation have made their commitment to an ambitious set of programmes that will deliver Operation Digital Boost which will improve their digital and data maturity with positive outcomes for patients and colleagues.

The Trust are looking for an experienced Programme Director who will be comfortable with leading the EPR from procurement to implementation, including leading a wide range of stakeholders to feel safe to retire a range of legacy, isolated systems and replace it with a modern fully integrated system that meets all the national digital maturity requirements.

Responsibilities:

The Trust is looking for an individual with a proven background in large complex programmes of this type, who will be ambitious and help us mobilise, plan and implement our electronic patient record. The Trust has an ambitious timescale and this person will be pivotal in building a team to work with their clinicians and senior leaders in planning one of the biggest organisational change programmes of the last ten years for the organisation.

Qualifications

  • Educated to Masters degree level or equivalent qualification and leadership experience at a senior level
  • Post graduate Masters qualification or equivalent experience gained at a senior level
  • Programme and project management qualification (Prince 2, MSP) and or relevant experience
  • Change management qualification or relevant experience
  • Major Programme Management Qualification (Desirable)

Experience

  • Proven in-depth experience of leading large, complex EPR programmes to deliver transformation
  • Significant management and professional experience at a senior strategic level in health service or other major large-scale customer service-oriented organisation
  • Substantial experience of working across organisational and complex boundaries within a healthcare setting
  • Proven experience of delivering large scale digital transformation and service improvement projects
  • Proven people management experience with evidence of leading through change
  • Significant experience of contract and supplier management
  • Proven experience of managing and prioritising multiple workloads and meeting deadlines
