Interim Technical Director (Web Dev Agency)

Interim Technical Director | 3 months | Outside of IR35

Summary

We are looking for a Technical Director to join my client’s fast-growing web design and development team. The role requires leading on technical strategy and development across the agency as well as mentor and manage a talented team of Project Managers, Developers and Designers to deliver beautiful, cutting-edge web solutions for their clients.

You should have a passion for delivering business results for clients, a strong portfolio that reflects elements of this and the work they do. My client plan, design and build websites (primarily using WordPress, Drupal and BigCommerce) as well as occasional apps, campaigns asset and branding work.

Responsibilities of the role:

· Technical direction, 15%

· Pitching and technical planning, 20%

· Daily Team Management, 40%

· Mentoring and coaching, 20%

· Other, 5%

Preferred Experience:

▪ Familiarity with current CRM and ERP tools, Fulfilment solutions.

▪ Web development for WordPress and/or Drupal sites.

▪ Backend development including PHP, MySQL and some JavaScript.

▪ Familiarity with both traditional and agile development, and Project Management tools such as Jira.

▪ Experience of leading and developing teams.

Desirable:

▪ Experience in an agency environment preferred.

▪ Experience in frontend development, using HTML and CSS.

▪ A portfolio of wider development experience is advantageous, such as apps.

▪ A relevant technical or computer science degree.
