Java Developer

We are partnered with an exciting Software Development company who are looking for a Java Developer in their Bonn, Germany office!

Our client is a leading provider of tools required to create websites, use email & secure business online. They are a developer & operator of software platforms and provide web presence services to customers in over 250 countries.

The role:

• As a Java Developer you will work in a cross functional and diverse team creating specifications and technical concepts for new features in cooperation with the development team and product management.
• You will implement new features and enhancements for their software.
• You will master the testing of the software and will be responsible for debugging the application.
• You are the owner of the process so creating the documentation will be in your hands.

Skills/experience you will ideally have:

• Bring experience with implementation of enterprise applications
• Know very well how to implement 3rd party APIs and all the risks associated with the process
• Have a strong knowledge in Java 8/Java EE8, with Spring Framework and Hibernate/JPA
• Understand the software lifecycle
• Bring passion and motivation around software development, quality awareness, and a good sense of responsibility and ownership
• Be able to communicate in German and English at an advanced level
• Be an excellent team player with experience in agile development methods and tools
• Ideally completed a degree in Computer Science (or comparable).
• Bonus if you have experience with frontend technologies like HTML5, CSS, Ajax
