QA Automation Engineer

QA Automation Engineer | 6 month Contract | Outside IR35 | Fully remote| £600-700 per day.

My client is a start-up backed by a large BPM in the financial industry – looking to revolutionise the lending market and provide a better digital experience, allowing customers to customise their mortgage solutions.

We are looking to hire a number of QA Automation Engineers, on a contract basis (outside IR35) to work fully remotely.

Tech stack includes Java, Spring Boot, Apache Camel, React, TypeScript, GraphQL, AWS, Kubernetes, MySQL, MongoDB, Kafka, Terraform.

About the role:

As a QA Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and implementing test automation strategies from the ground up according to your exact specifications. You will help thei teams build quality software by writing and executing tests across the system and 3rd party integrations both at the API and UI level. My client will rely on your expertise on choosing the right tools for performing tests and measuring quality.

We’d love to meet someone who has:

● 3+ years of experience of software testing and QA, ideally for SaaS solutions

● 2+ years experience working as a test engineer doing automation

● Excellent coding skills in at least one major language (ideally Java or JavaScript)

● Experience working with tools like Cypress and Jest or similar

● Experience performing cross-browser testing

● Familiarity working with both GraphQL and REST APIs and tools like GraphiQL and Postman

● Excellent analytical skills, ability to troubleshoot issues originating from configuration, data and application regressions

● Experience working in a start-up environment using Agile methodologies

Desirable skills:

● Experience writing and executing performance tests using tools like JMeter

● Experience using CI and CD tools to write and maintain pipelines

● Cloud/DevOps experience working with technologies like AWS and Kubernetes
