Job Description: Lab Technician with Android Testing Experience

Contract Duration: 12 months

Key Responsibilities:

MH Host Management:

• Set up and configure MH hosts for mobile testing.
• Maintain and troubleshoot MH host environments to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitor reliability and resolve any issues related to MH hosts.

Device Management:

• Manage a pool of Android devices for testing purposes.
• Set up and configure devices with necessary software and required configurations.
• Maintain an inventory of devices and track their health and performance.

Android Testing:

• Execute test cases on Android devices, either manually or through automation tools.
• Report, track, and manage defects and issues found during testing.
• Collaborate with development teams to address and resolve identified defects.

Lab Maintenance:

• Maintain an organized and efficient lab environment.
• Ensure the proper upkeep and functioning of lab equipment.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to the lab infrastructure.

Qualifications:

• Technical degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Android operating systems and mobile device hardware.
• Experience with mobile testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Appium, Espresso).
• Understanding of network configurations and the ability to troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Mobile Harness (MH) or similar mobile testing platforms.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
• Experience working in cloud-based testing environments.
