Product Designer
Melbourne (Hybrid – 2 days in office)
12-Month Contract
We’re partnering with one of Australia’s most respected organisations on a major digital transformation program and are looking for a hands-on Product Designer to join an agile, delivery-focused squad.
In this role, you’ll focus on UX and UI design delivery, working closely alongside a dedicated Researcher who leads discovery and insight generation. You’ll translate research outcomes into intuitive, accessible, and high-quality design solutions used by thousands of customers and internal stakeholders.
You’ll be embedded in a multidisciplinary squad (Design, Research, BAs, Developers) where collaboration is strong and design thinking plays a key role in shaping outcomes.
What you’ll be doing
· Designing end-to-end user experiences based on insights provided by a dedicated Researcher
· Translating research findings into clear UX flows, interaction models and UI solutions
· Creating intuitive, accessible experiences using established design systems
· Producing high-fidelity prototypes and design artefacts in Figma
· Working closely with Developers and BAs to iterate, refine and validate solutions in an agile environment
· Participating in design critiques, sprint ceremonies and collaborative problem-solving
· Clearly communicating design decisions and rationale to stakeholders
What you’ll bring
· Experience as a Product Designer in agile delivery environments
· Formal UX training with strong foundations in UX principles and best practice
· A portfolio that demonstrates process, iteration and decision-making, not just final visuals
· Strong Figma capability, with confidence structuring files and owning design delivery
· Solid UI skills, with an understanding of technical constraints and handover to development
· Confidence collaborating with researchers, developers and stakeholders
· A curious, user-centred mindset and commitment to staying current with UX/UI trends
Why this role?
You’ll be part of a collaborative squad working on meaningful digital initiatives, with the opportunity to stay hands-on, deepen your craft, and work closely with experienced design and research practitioners.
