Salt is seeking a ‘UX Researcher’ to join our team to drive research that informs product strategy and design for products that impact the experiences of millions of consumers, creators and businesses on a global scale.
You will leverage a range of qualitative methods to generate actionable insights that help shape the future of business solutions for advertisers, consumers and creators.
Our research methods range from generative to evaluative, ethnography to experimentation, and involves collaboration between stakeholders.
This is a 9-month contract role based in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
· Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and data scientists to identify and prioritize impactful research questions for products globally, but with an APAC focus.
· Design and execute end-to-end research studies using a variety of methods (e.g., interviews, surveys, usability testing, field studies, concept testing).
· Synthesize and communicate research findings in compelling, actionable ways to influence product direction and strategy.
· Advocate for the needs and perspectives of businesses and advertisers in the APAC region.
· Manage multiple research projects simultaneously, balancing short-term needs with long-term strategic goals.
· Work with research vendors as needed to augment research capacity.
· Contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration within the UX Research team.
Minimum Qualifications
· Bachelor‘s degree in a human behavior-related field (e.g., Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Communication, Information Science, Media Studies, Computer Science, or Economics).
· 3+ years of experience in applied product or user experience research.
· Demonstrated experience with qualitative research methods (e.g., in-depth interviews, focus groups, usability testing, concept testing).
· Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to diverse audiences. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
· Experience translating research findings into strategic recommendations.
