UX Researcher

6 Month contract

Hybrid work environment

We are partnering with a large, well-established organisation undergoing a significant digital experience transformation. They are seeking a UX Researcher to help shape user-centred digital products and services used by thousands of customers and internal users.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career UX Researcher to work alongside experienced CX and design professionals in a collaborative, research-led environment.

About the Role

As the UX Researcher, you will play a key role in building a deep understanding of user behaviours, needs, and pain points across a suite of digital platforms. Your research will directly inform product design, accessibility improvements, and future digital initiatives.

Working closely with UX Designers, CX specialists, and delivery teams, you will translate research insights into practical recommendations that support evidence-based design decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct UX research to understand current and future user experiences
  • Run usability testing to validate concepts, prototypes, and live digital products
  • Develop research artefacts such as journey maps, personas, and insight summaries
  • Translate research findings into clear recommendations for design and product teams
  • Contribute to ongoing product improvement through iterative testing and feedback loops
  • Support accessibility and inclusive design initiatives, including research involving assistive technologies
  • Assist with light design and prototyping activities to support research and stakeholder communication

About You

  • A qualification in UX, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Behavioural Science, Design Research, or a related field
  • Around 2-3 years’ experience conducting UX or user-centred research within digital product or service environments
  • Strong knowledge of research methods such as usability testing, card sorting, tree testing, and prototype validation
  • Experience creating UX artefacts including journey maps, personas, and usability findings
  • Exposure to accessibility and inclusive design practices (or a strong interest in developing this area)
  • Experience with quantitative research such as surveys and data interpretation
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present insights to diverse stakeholders
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
