We are seeking an exceptional Business Development & Partnerships Director to join a prominent media group in Saudi Arabia. As a highly connected professional, you will thrive in leveraging your extensive network across the commercial landscape, collaborating with government, semi-government, and commercial stakeholders. Your primary focus will be on sponsorships and event-related partnerships, as you work closely with this companies commercial group to seize opportunities, optimize program monetization, attract new projects, and forge innovative alliances. With your expertise, you will cultivate lasting relationships based on collaboration, trust, and creativity.
Job Responsibilities:
- Achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) by securing new experiential client business from government, semi-government, and private sector clients in Saudi Arabia.
- Meet KPI targets for sponsorships and partnerships with government, semi-government, and private sector entities for their projects.
- Identify and present new partnership opportunities throughout the event delivery cycle, optimizing operational costs and project-related expenses.
- Develop a robust sales pipeline, maintaining proactive communication with stakeholders and capturing potential prospects.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create and finalize proposals and benefit plans, engaging procurement, legal, and managing directors when necessary.
- Explore potential partnership and integration opportunities with commercial agencies or sales entities.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape by attending relevant events, conferences, and networking opportunities in Saudi Arabia.
- Provide weekly reports and updates to the managing director (MD) on business development activities, progress, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Candidate Requirements:
- Possess 10+ years of experience in commercial sponsorships and partnerships within the MENA/KSA region, particularly in events, live experiences, and experiential brand activation.
- Demonstrate strong negotiation and sales skills with a proven track record of closing successful business deals.
- Proficient in business planning, sales strategies, and financial management.
- Exhibit expertise in creating partner activations, managing relationships, and maximizing partnership value.
- Showcase excellent planning and execution abilities, with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple projects.
- Fluent communicator in English and Arabic.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or an equivalent field.
