SALT are seeking an exceptional sales professional to join a leading professional body as the Head of Business Development. We have partnered with this global professional body to support them in finding a highly competent ‘hunter’ to market and sell a diverse range of products and services designed for corporate clients. The perfect candidate will have a crucial role in building lasting relationships, enhancing our client’s worldwide reputation, and increasing revenue.
In this role, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the overall business plans and objectives of our client, integrating it with their Customer Relationships and Business Solutions strategy.
- Lead and guide a team of exceptional professionals who will identify and sell our client’s complete range of products and services to corporate clients across the Middle East and North Africa, meeting or surpassing revenue targets.
- Personally generate revenue by developing direct business relationships with corporate clients in the region, striving to exceed revenue and margin targets.
- Enhance and extend our client’s engagement with existing key accounts, ensuring consistent and continued interaction.
- Collaborate with clients to design customized solutions that meet their specific requirements, utilizing the full spectrum of our client’s products and services to exceed revenue and margin targets.
- Improve account management and sales processes to acquire new business, secure repeat business, and foster long-term client relationships, leading to continued engagement and referrals.
- Regularly review the pipeline to identify potential areas of concern, adjusting priorities to ensure effective management of future business and sustained revenue growth.
- Establish strong communication channels with the Product Development and Business Solutions Delivery Teams to guarantee the deliverability of tailored solutions while maintaining quality standards and net margin expectations.
- Plan conferences and events aimed at generating leads and promoting our client’s brand within targeted sectors and countries.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to set annual budgets and business plans, taking responsibility for managing the Business Development operational finances effectively.
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Educated with a Bachelor’s degree.
- Management-related qualification such as an MBA or MSc preferred.
- Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably within a service-related organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of crafting complex documents, reports, and commercial proposals.
- Strong presentation skills enabling effective communication with diverse audiences.
- Experience as an international traveler.
- Working knowledge of procurement and supply or relevant qualifications.
- Demonstrable experience in budget management.
- Track record of successfully managing small to medium-sized teams.
- Experience in international sales and customer relationship management.
- Familiarity with learning methodologies and people development solutions for organizations.
- Knowledge of business education programs and professional bodies.
