Head of Insights, Analytics & Data

Main Purpose of Job

Create and execute the vision, strategy and roadmap for the Data, Insights, & Analytics function.

To ensure the availability and quality of data, insights and analytics within the business is optimised

to drive more considered and higher quality decisions. Establish a competitive advantage from data,

insights and analytics.

The role will report directly to the CEO and will provide a strategic and leadership role in the

management of data and analytics systems, solutions design, and implementation. This opportunity

is for an individual who is eager to build and shape the data, insights and analytics landscape within

an entrepreneurial environment fixated on the disruption of the healthcare industry.

Key Performance Areas

· Thorough understanding of the business, insights, analytics and data strategy.

· Designing and implementing data, insights and analytics strategies, systems and solutions

· Lead, motivate, manage and mentor the insights and analytics team, establishing competitive

advantage through the production and usage of high-quality insights and analytics

· Lead a team in the development and utilisation of insights and analytics to drive investment

efficiencies, revenue opportunities and enhanced productivity

· Lead, motivate, manage and mentor data architecture team

· Oversee the collection, storage, management, quality, and protection of data

· Implement data privacy policies complying with data protection regulations

· Effectively communicate the status, value, and importance of data collection to executive

members and staff

· Establish a progressive and forward-thinking environment, to keep the data, insights and

analytics function at the leading edge of the field, drive function relevance and enhance

competitive advantage

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, information systems, computer science, data science,

actuarial science, econometrics, or a related field

· Master’s degree in Data Science/Computer science preferred

· Data certifications preferred (SSIS, Microsoft)

· 5-10 years’ experience in a senior-level insights, information systems or data management

role

· Management experience

· Experience in building deep insights

· Experience in building data architecture preferred

· Experience in designing and implementing data driven solutions

Skills & Competencies

· Data strategy development and execution aligned with driving company strategy

· Deep understanding of data analytics

· Deep understanding of insights driven/lead decision making

· Sound understanding of data architecture

· Strong data science competence (ML Tools/packages, AI, statistical tools)

· Strong programming skills (Python, C#, Java etc.)
