AI Engineer – Microsoft Copilot & AI Innovation – 6 month contract

We’re looking for an AI Engineer who combines technical expertise with a passion for innovation, enablement and user adoption. This is an opportunity to become the go-to expert for Microsoft 365 Copilot, shaping how AI is embedded across a large enterprise while building intelligent solutions that deliver genuine business impact.

You’ll play a pivotal role in driving AI adoption, designing custom Copilot solutions, educating users, and ensuring AI is implemented securely, responsibly and at scale.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead the adoption and optimisation of Microsoft 365 Copilot across the business.
• Design and build custom copilots, agents, plugins and connectors using Copilot Studio.
• Develop AI-powered solutions using Power Platform, Microsoft Graph and enterprise integrations.
• Deliver workshops, training sessions, prompt libraries and enablement programs that maximise user adoption.
• Monitor usage, measure business outcomes and continuously improve the employee AI experience.
• Partner closely with technology, security and business stakeholders to deliver innovative AI solutions.
• Stay ahead of Microsoft’s AI roadmap and introduce new capabilities that create measurable productivity gains.

What we’re looking for

You’ll bring experience across several of the following:

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Studio.
• Building custom copilots, declarative agents, plugins and connectors.
• Power Platform including Power Automate and Power Apps.
• Microsoft Graph and enterprise integrations.
• AI engineering, machine learning or software development experience.
• Prompt engineering and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
• Microsoft 365 governance including SharePoint, OneDrive, sensitivity labels and DLP.
• Python or other scripting experience.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
• Experience delivering training, workshops or technology adoption programs.

Nice to have

• Azure AI Foundry
• GitHub Copilot
• Experience with Claude
• Experience working within large enterprise environments or regulated industries.
