We are currently seeking an experienced Microservices Engineer to join a high-performing team delivering a modern, Angular-based wealth management platform. This is a fully remote contract opportunity with strong potential for extension.

As a Backend Microservices Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable microservices that power a digital wealth platform. You will work closely with frontend engineers to ensure seamless integration and high-performance system design within a secure, cloud-based environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable microservices and RESTful APIs
• Integrate backend services with Angular frontend applications
• Build secure, high-performance, and resilient backend systems
• Participate in unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews
• Support deployment and monitoring within cloud environments
• Contribute to architectural decisions and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Experience:

• 4-6+ years of backend development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with microservices architecture
• Proficiency in Java, Node.js, or .NET (depending on project stack)
• Solid experience in API design and system integration
• Experience with containerisation tools such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

Preferred:

• Experience working on fintech, banking, or wealth management platforms
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
