Overview:

A senior leadership opportunity to join one of the region’s most prestigious events organisations. As Commercial Director, you will be responsible for driving sales and revenue performance across a diverse portfolio of exhibitions and conferences, including the launch of a new technology-focused series. This role offers the chance to shape commercial strategy, lead high-performing teams, and influence the growth of globally recognised events.

Responsibilities:

Lead the commercial function across exhibitions and conferences, ensuring delivery of sales and revenue targets.

Develop and execute sponsorship, exhibition, and non-space revenue strategies.

Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to the sales team.

Research market trends and competitor activity to introduce new sales innovations.

Oversee floor plan management, budget control, and CRM programmes to drive client engagement.

Build and maintain relationships with government bodies, industry associations, and key partners.

Collaborate with marketing and operations to ensure seamless delivery and visitor promotion.

Implement governance processes, reporting, and commercial best practices.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales Management, or a related field.

Minimum 7-8 years’ senior sales experience within the exhibitions industry.

Proven track record of driving commercial performance across large-scale events.

Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Financial acumen with experience in budget management and revenue forecasting.

Innovative, adaptable, and commercially strategic with a customer-first mindset.
