Contract Technology Delivery Lead (SQL data consolidation & migration)

• Challenge of working in a Large and complex environment – 3000 to 4000 applications, around 15000 databases

• Initial contract of 6 months to start with chances of extension

• AUCKLAND preferred(Grafton based) OR Wellington
• Flexible, 3 days a week in office
• Quick joining preferred
• 125$ to 145$/ hour (depending upon experience; Salary negotiable for the best fit with SQL data consolidation experience)

The role:

• Reports to the Platform Manager – Application services , working closely with Senior Tech Lead, DBA’s, and then outside teams like Applications support analysts, Product Owner, Project Manager, Application service managers, Infrastructure teams, Testing teams.
• It’s a new position and given the consolidation of different Health Boards into one, they are also consolidating national SQL databases. Various SQL instances, each instance connected with multiple databases which further connects to multiple applications.
• Determine migration readiness
• Determine application-to-database dependencies
• Database landscape assessment
• Change Management
• Planning & Coordination, bringing everyone together
• Stakeholder management

The ideal candidate:

• Experienced Delivery Lead / Product Lead / Migration delivery Lead with DATABASE CONSOLIDATION / DATABASE MIGRATION experience.
• Very good with Planning
• Solid communication skills (communication plans, meeting facilitation, tracking actions and risks)
• Strong Stakeholder management exposure
• Understanding of SQL database is enough, no need for in-depth SQL experience (preferred)
• Knowledge of Oracle (good to have)
• Experience with Healthcare / Government / large enterprise (good to have)
