Job Summary:
The COO (Electronics) is responsible for developing and executing the overall strategy for the eCommerce platform. This role focuses on product selection, supplier relationships, pricing strategies, inventory management, supply chain and category growth to drive revenue and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning & Buying:
* Develop and implement the buying strategy aligned with company goals.
* Lead category planning, product assortment, and seasonal buying.
* Forecast sales trends, consumer demand, and market opportunities.
2. Supplier & Vendor Management:
* Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers.
* Negotiate pricing, terms, and exclusive deals to maximize margins.
* Ensure timely procurement and delivery of merchandise.
3. Category & Product Management:
* Define product mix and oversee product lifecycle across categories.
* Monitor product performance, introduce new lines, and discontinue underperforming items.
* Work closely with merchandising and marketing teams to promote key products.
4. Data-Driven Decision Making:
* Use analytics and reporting tools to track sales, stock levels, and margins.
* Identify buying patterns and optimize inventory turnover and ROI.
* Set and monitor KPIs for product performance.
5. Team Leadership:
* Lead and mentor a team of category buyers and analysts.
* Foster a high-performance, collaborative culture.
* Drive training and development initiatives within the team.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
* Work with supply chain, finance, and technology teams to streamline processes.
* Collaborate with marketing on promotional campaigns and product launches.
